Casa Coleman

DESCRIPTION: Designed by the internationally renowned architects  Legorreta + Legorreta, this house exemplifies the spectacular special variation for which they are know.  The plan is centralized around a three story atrium which contains both a fountain and fourteen foot diameter operable skylight which casts an elliptical shaped light pattern around the space. 

The building is steel frame with wood infill and finished-concrete floors.  The doors, trim and cabinets are all solid walnut with natural oil finish.  Also a signature Legorreta feature is their rich use of color.  The atrium will be a deep, orange painted plaster.
